Volunteers Needed

Hello sisters-

I am writing to let you know that I will be organizing the NC/SC Area Wide Training (AWT) for our newly elected collegiate officers. AWT is held at the start of the spring semester to bring the new officers of nearby chapters together to learn about their positions, discuss trends in Alpha Xi Delta nationally and to make connections with other collegiates and alumnae.

An important part of AWT are the individual officer breakout sessions. In these 90 minute sessions, officers have a chance to ask questions and share ideas about the responsibilities that come with their role. This is the reason why I am reaching out to you: I need alums to volunteer their time to facilitate these session.

“But I don’t know anything about officer training. I haven’t been in college for years. How can I really be helpful?”

I’m sure these and many more questions might be running through your head. But rest assured, it doesn’t matter if you are currently actively involved in AXiD or not. What is most important is the desire to connect with the women and help facilitate a discussion among them. All materials and information that is required for the sessions will be provided.

Area Wide Training will be held as a full-day session on Saturday, February 8,2014 at Wingate University, Wingate, NC. There will be 8 chapters attending.

If you have been feeling the desire to give back to Alpha Xi Delta and are interested in volunteering for Area Wide Training, please let me know. I would love to talk to you and answer any more questions.
